Corrosion inhibitors

Corrosion is a very severe problem in oil and gas fields, as many stages of technological processes imply the use of water either permeating from the geological formation or injected through the reservoir pressure maintenance system. Casing pipes, ground pipelines, pressure tanks and storage tanks suffer from internal corrosion increased by the presence of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, and sometimes from the presence of oxygen in the injected water.

Losses from corrosion damage are connected with premature failure of the equipment, its replacement, operating losses and environment protection costs. This has prompted experts to research the options of extending the service life and reliable operation of equipment, while ensuring continuity of the production cycle and controlling corrosion risks. This problem can to a great extent be solved through the application of corrosion inhibitors.

The inhibitor type and application method depends on the requirements for protective film stability over time, operation mode and factors affecting oil field equipment exploitation. The inhibitor consumption rate depends on H2S content and its corrosiveness.

Solutions for anticorrosive protection:

Film forming CO2 and H2S corrosion inhibitor POLY-INCORE can be applied for protection of pipelines, casing, tubing, oilfield and downhole equipment. It can be used both as continuous injection and in batch treatment.

For our acid solutions, we recommend to use SOLING HCl corrosion inhibitors.
