Water shut-off
The high level of water cut in production wells is one of the key problems in the oil industry. During production from old wells, more water is produced than oil. This leads to oil production costs increases.
The geological and technical features of wells, presence of bottom water and highly permeable interlayers, poor-quality cementing and corrosion of the casing also have an impact on the increasing water cut. The use of modern technologies for enhancing oil recovery, such as hydraulic fracturing, acid treatments, and intensive water flooding also affects the water cut.
Zirax offers a number of technologies in order to reduce the water cut of the produced products, such as:
- Tamolex - sediment-forming composition;
- Carbolex - formaldehyde resin based composition
