Zirax, a manufacturer of specialized chemical products, had signed and had started performance on a major contract for the supply of granular calcium chloride from Russia to the US market in the amount of 10,000 tons of product in consumer packaging at the end of September 2020.
During winter season in the USA calcium chloride is widely used by municipalities and the population of North America. The consumption volume in a snowy winter exceeds hundreds of thousands of tons as calcium chloride is the main means of fighting with winter slipperiness and preventing the formation of ice in different temperature regimes.
